We have a dependable, everyday automatic drip coffee maker. It is a high quality machine. I like it. It is a Cuisinart Coffee Maker, a 10-Cupper, with a nice thermal carafe. It does the job. But recently, we picked up a cheap Bodum French Press…under $20. No bells, no whistles, and frankly, we’ve been cheating ourselves for years. I had this idea that a french press was a persnickety thing. That it required patience and exactitude, which are a couple of things that I don’t have in the morning. But, the coffee is simply amazing (much smoother and richer than in the ADC). I can’t understand why we didn’t do this years ago. Mornings are just better with a french press. Enough said.
